Visit The Archive

The Green Room maintains a living archive of fashion and performance garments, treasures, and textiles spanning the 1870s through today, with a particular focus on the Victorian through mid-century eras, alongside select modern designer and Y2K collections.

Located in Brooklyn, NY, our holdings include exceptional true vintage and antique garments, vintage theater, burlesque, and film costume, historic lingerie, millinery, antique textiles, vintage workwear, western leather, as well as archival runway, avant-garde, and early 2000s Y2K pieces from contemporary designers.

Shopping Appointments

Shop The Green Room in person by private appointment. Appointments offer an intimate, one-on-one experience within our Brooklyn studio, where clients can browse and try pieces from our retail and archival collections, including garments not available online.

Each session is tailored to your taste, size, and interests, whether you’re seeking a single heirloom piece, building a collection, or sourcing for a creative project. Our team provides personalized guidance and styling support, with the option for full-service styling, personal shopping, and wardrobe consultation extending beyond the archive.

Archive Access

Our studio is open by appointment for stylists, costumers, designers, researchers, and collectors seeking access to our collection. Appointments include private viewing sessions, fittings, or research access with garment handling guidance, for academic, institutional, and creative projects. We welcome those working in fashion, costume, art direction, and design to explore the archive in person. Appointments are limited and taken seasonally.

Styling, Private Rentals, & Pulls

Select garments from the archive are available for stylist rental and pull for editorial, film, theatre, and special projects. This includes both historic pieces (pre-1950s) and modern garments, allowing stylists to build layered narratives that merge eras and aesthetics.

Rental access is granted by approval only and may include fittings, insurance requirements, and handling protocols depending on the age, rarity, and fragility of a piece.

Our team also offers full-service styling, curation, and creative direction, from concept development and sourcing across our network of designers and archives, to on-set curation and look coordination for editorial, film, and private clients.
